Dance for Wellbeing CC4Us

We are a service provider for Calderdale Cares 4 Us (CC4Us), a project hosted by local mental health charity Healthy Minds, to help look after the public and voluntary sector workers who have been supporting and caring for all of us throughout the pandemic. To help these workers recover from the pandemic, CC4Us is providing free wellbeing services, which have been shaped by the workers through an ongoing survey that asks: what services do you want to access to help you feel better?

Our Dance for Wellbeing class involves exploring and learning a range of accessible dance sequences to a variety of music, cultivating a shared sense of fun, relaxation and achievement. Each session finishes with a short relaxation and stretching activity and then time to chat and enjoy refreshments together.

Thursdays, 6pm – 7.30pm
9th September – 7th October: 5 week course.

Each class involves an hour of dancing, followed by time to chat over some refreshments.

What do I need?

Wear some comfy clothes and bring some water with you.

We recommend bare feet or socks that aren’t slippy, but light trainers or plimsoles are ok too.

You are welcome to wear a face covering if you wish to, and we will be practicing social distancing throughout.

Here’s a little welcome message from Matt, who teaches the classes:
